So here we are in exciting Iowa. Cruising down I-80 admiring the XL tractors plowing the industrial farms. Traffic in this state is surprisingly heavy... this morning in IL we hardly passed a car for hours.

Last night we were in Danville, IL, and to think I used to complain that Hickory was small and backwards, wow. Disaster was narrowly adverted as we found another hotel who took dogs and so we didnt have to stay in a smoking room.

We had to go back to Indiana to find a resturant... somewhere called the Beef House, which, judging by the line to get in, appeared to be the only resturant in the county. Not sure what the giraffe was doing at a steak house, but Aprill demanded a picture be taken an posted here.

To pass the time Aprill has taken to license plate spotting. First we tried to list all of the states, which we failed at, and are now crossing them off... I'm pretty sure she keeps speeding up in order to overtake more cars for a better chance of crossing off more states.

Tonight, we are going to be in Omaha. Home of Warren Buffet (pictured below), ...., probably a lot of steak houses, um...., trains maybe, tornados, the college world series I think... and other stuff I'm sure.

*yo W B, can you make me some money?
Anyway, that's all I got for ya. I leave you with an image of the heartland of America... and if you stare at it for a few minutes, it will almost certainly help you doze off for a Sunday afternoon nap (which is my next activity as well).
