Let it Begin

So I've never really been the socially networked kind of guy, but since the fam (and maybe even a few friends) may be interested to follow Aprill and I on our adventure-in-progress, I thought it may be time to start a blog. This little experiment in social networking may only last through the trip... But who knows, I may keep it going, at least for a while. (one last note, I'm writing this and any others for the next few days on my iPhone which has no spell check, and being trained in only math and science, please disregard all of my misspellings)

So for anyone who stumbles here and is unaware of our current state of affairs, here is the short version: we moved to Hickory, NC when I got out of college, I worked in furniture while Aprill worked out of the house for her company who contracts for the nuclear industry. Well, the economy collapsed, people stopped buying furniture, there were layoffs (not me, but they nailed 4 of 7 engineers), the company never really started to rebound, I hated my job, yadda yadda yadda. And so all the while, Aprill was contracted to a company in Richland, WA... again, yadda yadda yadda... They really wanted to bring her on full time, the company that wants her is an engineering firm, I'm an engineer... So boom, we're off to Washington.

Currently, like at this moment, we are in lawn chairs watching the movers take a break after not moving a single box yet, and hoping to be to. The road to Knoxville by 2 (but at this rate, ehhh).

So for the next 6 days, we'll be on the road. I'll be bored in an epic fasion, and will be updating you pretty often I'm sure (expect lots of pictures of corn fields).
